We are a group of private citizens who all have experience working within the aged care industry.
We have come together to work on a campaign for reforms across the country, approaching individuals and organisations alike to help us as we lobby for change.
We have multiple reform suggestions based on the recommendations from the multitude of reports and inquiries that have been generated in recent years, and on our own experiences working within the aged care industry.
We began a petition detailing some of those suggestions, and from there our campaign has grown to become something we envisage as a way to bring the aged care industry together to work on enacting urgent change.
We hope to start a conversation that includes; consumers and their families; care providers, their staff and stake-holders; industry based organisations and advocacy groups; and representatives of state and commonwealth government.
There is real opportunities for growth and change in the aged care industry, and we would like to work together to reinvigorate the passion and commitment to caring that the idea of person-centred care invokes.
We hope that you will join us.
