The Australian Parliament’s Health, Aged Care and Sport Committee will be holding a public hearing in Canberra on Friday, 11 May 2018, This is part of its Inquiry into the Quality of Care in Residential Aged Care Facilities in Australia.
The Committee Chair, Mr Trent Zimmerman MP, said that ‘the Committee is interested in the experiences of older Australians in aged care and will hear from representative bodies such as COTA Australia, Dementia Australia and Painaustralia’.
The Committee will also hear from aged care providers directly, peak representative bodies for aged care providers and the medical profession.
